Our daughter who is 38 and mentally challenged has been taking therapeutic riding lessons at Dream On Curls Riding Center. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the service. Zoe is highly skilled in horse handling and able to relate to those with disabilities in a way that challenges them to exceed their own expectations as well as building their self esteem. |
| We are shared living providers for a man who is 43 years old and mentally challenged. This center is helping fulfill one man's dream as well as building skill and confidence. His skills consistently improved from the beginning to the end of his session. He talks about the horse he rode (Dancer) as if it was his own horse. |
| This program has been a fun learning experience. I learned more than just how to ride and care for a horse. I learned a valuable lesson that I can use in everyday life. The valuable lesson is for me to be more assertive, keep trying and never give up and now I have more confidence in myself than I did at the beginning of the program. I also learned working with animals is a lot like working with people- you need to stay calm. Too bad the program is over because I had a lot of fun. |
