7 type Rebuild Details

Inclusive of, but not limited to:

  • Complete disassembly of machine.
  • Hot tank castings to remove all paint and filler.
  • Prime and paint with Sherwin Williams Polane polyurethane machine tool paint of customer’s color choice.
  • Replace all ball, roller, and thrust bearings.
  • Replace relieving arm, bell crank, stroke arm, apron pin and cutter spindle bushings.
  • Hard chrome and grind pivot pins as necessary.
  • Hard chrome and grind work spindle as necessary.
  • Hard chrome and grind cutter spindle as necessary.
  • Hard chrome and grind apron quill as necessary.
  • Scrape and refit guide assembly.
  • Scrape for alignment, bed ways and saddle.
  • Scrape for alignment, 4-point contact and apron thrust surface.
  • Scrape for fit, saddle gib.
  • Scrape for contact, upper worm wheel thrust surface.
  • Scrape for contact, lower worm wheel thrust ring.
  • Inspect and replace relieving cam as necessary.
  • Inspect and replace cam follower as necessary.
  • Replace back-off angle block.
  • Replace all oil wicks.
  • Anti friction coat upper and lower worms
  • Set upper and lower worm thrust bearing preload.
  • Set upper and lower worm worm wheel backlash.
  • Set upper worm wheel thrust.
  • Set work spindle thrust.
  • Set 4-point contact.
  • Set stroke arm sector gear backlash.
  • Set size adjustment worm backlash.
  • Overhaul cutting oil pump with new bushings and tool steel shafts.
  • Overhaul lubrication pump with new check valves.
  • Overhaul cushioning cylinder or retrofit gas spring.
  • Install Allen Bradley IEC combination motor starter.
  • Install new, oil tight push button station.
  • Install all new wiring.
  • Install new high efficiency drive motor.
  • Install new drive belts.
