Rates

$225/day • For a stay of 2 or more days.

One Night Stays: As available, four days or less ahead, with a 20% surcharge.

Discounted rates for longer stays:
• 4 nights, 5 days (week days Mon. night through Thurs. night) .... $750.
• 5 nights, 6 days (including one weekend) ... $1000.
• 7 nights, 8 days (Fri. night through Thurs. night) ... $1300

Two Week Special:
• 14 nights, 15 days (Fri. through Fri.) ... $2500
Note: The two week special rate is not available during Foliage Season.

• Pets: $15 per night. Accepted on a pet-by-pet basis at time of reservation.

We will agree upon a mutually agreeable specific hour for your arrival, generally between 2:30PM and 5:30PM. It is important that you plan your travel time accordingly. This will afford both of us the best use of our time and will get you comfortably into the Cabin during daylight. Should an unexpected delay occur, I expect a phone call to 802-672-5141, and leave a message if no answer.

• Departure Time: 11:00AM or as prearranged.

• Three-night minimum stay on designated Holidays.

• Pets: Pets are welcome at our discretion and only by prearrangement at time of reservation.

• Smoking: Permitted outdoors ONLY.

• Phone: Calling cards will be necessary for long distance calls.
Note: Cell phones often do not have reception in the mountains of Vermont.

• Payment: We accept Check, Money order, or Cash. Personal checks must be sent in advance and processed prior to arrival date. Checks should be mailed to: Cabin in the Woods, PO Box 368, Bridgewater Corners, VT 05035. Apologies: we do not accept credit cards.

• Deposits: Payment in full is required at time of reservation. Exception: Reservations made two or more months in advance require a deposit of $100 or 1/5 of stay (which ever is greater). Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellation with an 18 day notice will provide a full refund. Cancellation with notice of 7-17 days, will be charged a $225 penalty. Reservations not cancelled at least 7 days in advance of arrival day will not be eligible for any refund. • • Notice of cancellation must be acknowledged. • • During Foliage Season, no refunds are given unless the cabin is rented to another guest. Then 70% of deposit will be refunded.

Helpful Hints

• Weather: Check the weather forecasts before coming. Be prepared to dress for the weather. Always bring a warm sweater or jacket, for even in July and August, the nights can get chilly.

• Footwear: Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots will make hiking easier. Sandals are nice for hanging out.

• Know your physical limits: The lawns, ground and dirt road around the Cabin are gentle and easy walking. If you wish to adventure out into the woods, being moderately physically fit is very helpful. Always know your way back to the Cabin.

• Food: The Bridgewater Corners Junction Country Store is 5 miles away. It carries general basics, beverages and really good sandwiches. The nearest full market is 12 miles away, in Woodstock. The Farmer's Market is a bit closer than Woodstock, just east of the High School on Route 4. In the cabin, you will find upon arrival (complimentary) a quart of milk, a container of orange juice, cream, coffee and tea. If you would like to arrive to a stocked refrigerator and cupboard, this can be arranged. Please contact us 2 weeks in advance, and we can schedule it into our own shopping time. You will cover the cost of the food. For specialty shopping, our shopping fee is $35/hour, in addition to the cost of the food.
